DISCIPLINE
The Proctorial Board of the College looks after the discipline and decorum of life in college campus. It also looks after the welfare of the students and enforcement of the rules and regulations of the college and the University authorities.
Students have to occupy themselves with academic pursuits through out the working time in the college. Free periods may be spent in the Library, where books, periodicals and news papers are available.
Students are subject to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the College and University and have to abide by the rules and regulations issued from time to time.
The Proctorial Board deals with all cases of indiscipline. "Discipline" is the observance of good conduct as a student. Breach of discipline inter alia includes -
- a) Irregularity in attendance, persistent negligence or indifference towards the work assigned.
- b) Causing disturbance to a class or the office or the library or any games programme or college function.
- c) Disobeying the instructions of teachers or administrative authorities of the college.
- d) Misconduct or misbehaviour of any kind at the time of meeting or during curricular or extracurricular activities.
- e) Misconduct or misbehaviour of any kind during the examinations, inter-college competitions and games.
- f) Misconduct or misbehaviour of any kind towards a teacher or any employee of the college, University or another institution, or any member of the Statutory Board of the University or any visitor to the college, University or another institution.
- g) Causing damage to the furniture or any property of the college or any other institution of the University
- h) Uniform is decided for college students. Girls to attend the college in plain white salwar suits and Red Jaipuri chunni. Boys to attend the College in grey pant and plain white shirt. Plain black sweater, cardigan or blazer and black tie is prescribed in winter uniform. Colour of trousers is S. Kumar's quality shade No. 178.
Married Girls may wear pink coloured salwar suit
- i) Use of Mobile Phones by the students is prohibited in the class Room, Lobby & Laboratory .
- j) Inciting others or abetting them to indulge in any unlawful activity.
- k) Giving publicity to misleading reports or remorse among the students.
- l) Using abusive and profane language in the college campus.
- m) Smoking in the college premises.
- n) Attitude of non-seriousness towards studies or other activities of the college.
- o) Ragging is strictly prohibited in college premises. Strong action will be taken according to the directions issued by the Honorable Supreme Court of India.
Each student shall have to submit himself/herself to the code of disciplinary jurisdiction of the Principal, the Vice-Chancellor and other authorities of the College-University in whom may be vested the authority to exercise discipline under the Acts, the Statutes, the Ordinances and rules that have been framed by the College and the University.
Students are strictly advised not to bring outsiders with them in the college premises, If any outsider is found in the campus without approval, he/she may be handed over to the police and strict disciplinary action shall be taken against the student who directly or indirectly brought such outsider/outsiders in the college premises. Such students may even be expelled from the college.
