Introduction
Department of Computer Science at Chinmaya Degree College was established in year 2002 to contribute to fascinating and emerging area of Computer sciences. The Department provides Under Graduate B.Sc with Computer Science with 80 intake in every session and Post graduate M.Sc(CS) programme with 20 intake in every session. Ever since its establishment The Department has aimed to provide quality education along with research
environment through its ongoing programme. Computer Science is multidisciplinary field in its nature and finds its scope in areas of Software development, Web designing, Web Development, and Software Testing and is believed to become a major power in future.
Due to in built strength of Department the Computer lab and other facilities has been scaled up to research level. The Department is well equipped with Computer instruments such as Hardware Testing Instruments, Networking Instruments and others.
The Department has organized several workshops, Computer Science exhibitions, and industrial visits, invited talks by eminent personalities, so as to provide all round exposure and awareness to the students about the ongoing trends in the field of Computer science and also about possible carrier prospects. The faculty and students activity participates in national and international seminars, symposium etc. The sole aim of such activities is to bring out creativity and innovativeness of students and keep them striving for excellence.
